Mike and I both liked this one. He of course ate his ground beef with mashed potatoes and pinto beans. I ate mine on a low carb tortilla wrap with all of the fresh toppings that you would expect on a gyro. I LOVED it. I surprised myself actually. I was hesitant because of the sauce but it was actually very good.

Ground Beef Gyros
- 1 carton (8 ounces plain yogurt) I used Greek Organic
- 1/3 cup chopped, seeded cucumber
- 2 Tablespoons finally chopped onion
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon Splenda
In a bowl mix all ingredients together. Cover and refrigerate until later.
Filling:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/12 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
Mix all together and form into 4 patties. Grill over medium-high coals for 10-12 minutes, turning once. Remove from grill and slice.
- Low carb tortillas
- shredded lettuce
- chopped tomato
- chopped onion (optional)
Place tortilla on a plate, top with lettuce, sliced beef, tomatoes, onions and yogurt sauce. Serves 4.
