Cube Steak with Cheese

You might think this is cheating by calling this a recipe but there may be people who have no idea how to cook cube steak and it be tender enough for a toddler to eat. I used to hate cube steak until a close friend showed me how she made this. This is one of Mike’s favorite cuts of meat. He likes his without the cheese and covered in brown gravy.

This past weekend I made this and Caleb ate a huge steak all by himself and kept saying, “yummmm”.

Cube Steak with Cheese

  • 4 Cube steak
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • slices of your favorite cheese. Be creative.

Place cube steak in a pan and season to taste with salt and pepper. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Remove from pan and top with your choices of cheese.

I mixed mayonnaise and ketchup together and used as a dip for this along with sliced tomato and green beans. A very simple meal but very tender and filling.
