Slow Cooked Pot Roast

This was very simple but yet very good. I added potatoes and carrots for Mike under the roast and he said the spices added a nice flavor. I will have to take his word for it. I only had the roast. 😉

Slow Cooked Pot Roast

  • 1 pot roast- roughly 3-4 pounds
  • 1 Tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 can beef broth

You can place low carb vegetables in the bottom of the crockpot if you so choose such as carrots, mushrooms and turnips. I don’t like turnips so I didn’t bother. Pour broth into the bottom of the slow cooker.  Mix all of the spices together. Sprinkle some of the spices on the vegetables and then rub the rest of the spices into the roast. Place lid on top and cook on low for 8 hours.

Carbs depends on the vegetables that you choose to add. To figure how many carbs your recipe is go to this site.
