This one leans toward being an Italian recipe and it totally shocked me when Mike said he loved it and even had seconds of it. I say this one is a keeper. 🙂
I have been using Mezzetta brand of Homemade Style Marinara sauce for my Italian dishes. It is only 4 net carbs per serving.
Baked Beef Patties
- 3 teaspoons dried thyme
- 6 Tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 2 cups spaghetti sauce
- 1 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
- 4 Tablespoons Parmesan cheese
In a large bowl, combine thyme, water, garlic salt, oregano, paprika and pepper. Add beef and mix well. Shape into 8 patties.
In a non-stick skillet brown patties in patties. Drain grease. Pour half of the spaghetti sauce over burgers and then top with mozzarella cheese. Add remaining spaghetti sauce to top of burgers. Bake at 400 degrees, covered for 25 minutes. Top with Parmesan cheese and serve. Serves 8.
